For a Synodal Church
In October 2021, under Pope Francis' guidance, the Church launched a world-wide listening process leading to a Synod (Gathering) in Rome during 2023. We hosted four Listening Sessions - two in January, another one in March 2022, and one specifically with our Youth Group - in which all were invited to participate in one of these Listening Sessions, such as parishioners, non-parishioners, youth, teens, young adults, parents of children in the school or PSR, those who are missing who may have left the parish during the pandemic or for other reasons should feel welcome to come.
Special thanks to Marie Hirsch, Fr. Joe, and Linda Zvoncheck for assisting in this process! We wanted to try reach out to as many people as possible. Some people, unable to attend one of these in-person sessions for whatever reason, may have also chosen to participate in the individual process created by the Diocese of Cleveland and available online throughout the months of February and March. In however you may have chosen to participate in this process, it is clear that every voice mattered. Pope Francis believes very strongly that the “lived experience” of the people needs to inform the bishops who will meet in Rome in 2023.
All three parish-wide sessions, plus the Youth Group one, had input combined together to form this final report that has been sent to the Diocese of Cleveland. You can read our summary report here!
